In my opinion, this is one of Australia's most amazing birds. The species is usually found in eucalyptus woodlands, (which happens to be right next door to my studio and when large flocks come to visit it is very noisy. They also like to drop honky nuts and branches on my car but I don't mind as they are a beautiful sight. Unfortunately, populations in southeastern Australia are threatened by deforestation and other habitat alterations
 
This beautiful bird measures 500mm x 350mm.
